What is the Careers in Energy Week?

Careers in Energy Week is led by the Florida Energy Workforce Consortium (FEWC) with the support of Florida Governor Rick Scott and the Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) – is a week dedicated to celebrating and raising awareness of energy careers and their importance to our communities, state, and nation. 2014 Careers in Energy Week Florida Energy Workforce Consortium (FEWC)  Energy Video Contest

The FEWC is sponsoring a video contest for Florida high school students (grades 9-12) around the theme, “Why Choose a Career in Energy?” Following are the contest guidelines and registration form. Please distribute this information to all teachers at your respective schools or organizations. Please appoint a team of judges within your schools to select your proposed video (maximum of 5 per school or organization) to be entered into the contest. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners in the state. Winning entries will be published and all submissions may be published on our local and national organizations’ websites (www.fewc.org, www.getintoenergyflorida.com, www.cewd.org).

Official Contest Period and Deadline
The contest submission period will officially begin on Tuesday, October 13, 2014, and officially end on Friday, October 31, 2014.

Video Submittal Methods
Videos and registration/release form may be submitted via one or both of the following methods on or before Midnight on Friday, October 31, 2014.

1. Mail or scan registration/release form with YouTube or other URL address link to: Getintoenergyflorida2014@gmail.com; OR

2. Mail storage device containing video (e.g., SD card, micro SD card, CD or DVD Rom, USB Drive) to contact below. Must be in .mpg format.
